Who We Are
In 2014, Operation Social Equality (OSE) was birthed out of a call for direct action against Charlottesville media outlets' record of race-baiting and sensationalized news reporting. From there we have continued to lead countless grassroots efforts to bring socioeconomic equity to Black and POC communities throughout central Virginia.

With past experience building, implementing, and training around Black Bereavement, CPS system navigation advocacy, Workplace Readiness Support for Formerly Incarcerated Women, and organizing direct action support against racial injustice, OSE places itself in the field as the new revolutionized leaders of liberating mental wellness care.

OSE has supported community members and Mental Health Professionals with continuing education units surrounding Black Grief and bereavement. We have facilitated countless workshops around systemic oppression and developing tools to cope. OSE has spearheaded advocacy in the successful unification of children and families in the foster care system. We have led solidarity marches with over 500 attendees and have also supplied organizers with hundreds of dollars for items supporting marches and social awareness initiatives directly raised by local donors.
